Today’s Free Day was similar to our first Free Day. We woke up at 7:00am and prepared for breakfast. For breakfast we were served cereal and milk with toast and passion fruit juice for our drink. Half of the group did not eat what was served because they wanted to fill their stomachs with the $7 buffet breafast at the chocolate museum. After breakfast, we had free time from 9:00am to 11:45am. At 12:00, we all gathered for lunch. Lunch today was rice, plantain chips, and the choice of one of four meats, with a sweet and sugary drink. After, we had our second session of free time from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. From 4:15pm to 4:50, we prepared our lessons for our final English tutoring class. We went to dinner at 5:00 and enjoyed a meal of rice & beans, chopped grilled chicken, and a tortilla with a jamaica drink. From 6:00 to 7:50, we enjoyed our last moments of teaching our students. We also had a big party, where every class was in one big room. We had snacks, drinks, balloons, music, dancing, pictures, and we exchanged Facebook information. After getting back to the hostel, we had our final nightly meeting where crowned our last Leader of the Day. We are currently having free time until lights out at 11:00pm.
We all took advantage of our free time. Some of us finished our souvenir shopping, went to the Chocolate Museum, enjoyed massages at a spa, spent time at a pool, brought sealed snacks to bring home, visited Central Park, and went to the internet cafe.
