Hello California, Hello Family and friends. Today Jonathan and I woke up at 5:55am. We volunteered first to be leaders of the day (Liders del Dia). Because of this we had to wake up an hour before everyone else at 5:55am. Then at 7:00am we started to wake up glimpsers with hard banging on the door. Some said that we scared them with our wake up call. We also did this count off thing to check that every person was together. To get everyone’s attention we came up with a saying. Our saying was “Ai, dios mio!”(Oh my god!). This definitely worked. Our breakfast was just, cereal.  Nothing special. Then we went to the El Barrios Flores (The Neighborhood of Flowers). This is one of the poorest neighborhoods in Constanza and with the aid of our Peace Corps friend, Scott Capps, we got a tour of the neighborhood. After that we had lunch. Lunch was delicious! It was the best lunch we had had so far. We had rice with pinto beans in it, a nice creamy type of pasta (macaroni salad) with meatballs on the side. Then we went to CECAINI which is an elementary school that we are going to do our CAP (Community Action Project) project at. We interviewed the staff on what they want us to do, to help them. We also got to play with the kids there, some played basketball others played other kiddie games. After that we went back to our hotel and prepped for our English tutoring classes. Our classes were really fun, it seemed like everyone got into the groove of it today. After this we had dinner and started our nightly meeting where we passed the torch  (The leader of the day cape) and reflected on the day. Well to end it off we our having a wonderful time here at Constanza and I’ll see you soon!!!!!
