Hey guys!
I’m so glad this blog is being set up, because I’ve been so anxious to get to know the people I’ll be going on the trip with! I’m Hannah Phalen, a junior at El Cerrito High School. I remember getting called into a mysterious meeting one day saying I had been nominated for a program called “Global Glimpse.” Showing up even though I didn’t know what it was is definitely one of the best decisions I’ve made! I’m so grateful and happy to be going on this trip. I’m also excited to make new friends (I haven’t met anyone in this group)! I guess, to sum myself up, my passions are travel/other cultures and community service. I do a lot of volunteering with El Cerrito’s Interact Club as a board member. I’ve been to France, Japan and Mexico and those have been the best experiences of my life. All three had very different cultures and I’m sure Nicaragua’s will be just as unique. The itinerary for this trip sounds amazing! Can’t wait to meet you all 🙂
