Later on during the day, we all visited a mountain called El Calvario that overlooked the entire city of Matagalpa. It was a beautiful sight to behold and it will be a memory to last a lifetime although some people slipped and injured their knees(Jazmine and Samantha LOL but they were fine). Afterwards, we came back to the hostel and had two seminars about human rights and our CAP(Community Action) Project. We ended the day with a lot of free time for many of us to do yoga and continue our tradition of playing exploding kittens. This will truly be a day to keep in the memory banks.

Hi Lauren
Another busy wonderful day! What a wonderful opportunity for you and your fellow Glimpsers to make connections with these families and bring joy to the children. I’m sure it was an eye opener to see how little these families have from a material standpoint compared to the comforts of your home, but how rich these families are in their love of life.
Glad to hear that you stayed upright on the hike 🙂
Looking forward to the next blog post.
Love U, Mom, Dad & Eric
Hi! Sam,
Glad to see your face on that group picture. Still worried about your call yesterday from that mosquito bites that got swollen up but the learnings and experiences will pay for it ?. Thank you Erika for attending to my daughter needs, i know it will happen but her doc don’t want to give any antibiotics for that trip not unless her body reacts with the mosquito bites, hope everything is well now. I can’t wait to see you all next week.
Hugs & Kisses,
Mom

Love Mom❤️
Nice post Ivy and Harrison, sounds like another wonderful day in paradise!
As I read of each day’s adventures, I continue to be awestruck by what a tremendous life experience you all are having. It may not be immediately evident to you, but each of you will be changed in subtle or perhaps more dramatic ways by what you are learning, doing and seeing; the college you will soon choose, the major you ultimately select, the coursework you will explore and ultimately the career path you follow. I say this based on my own personal life experience inasmuch as the trips that I took abroad in my youth affected me deeply in ways that even today I continue to discover.
This adventure will continue to unfold very quickly so savor everything, from the unique smells, to the beautiful views, to the charm of the locals to the shock of a cold shower. Miss you Abby and we can’t wait to be regaled with all of the wonderful details!
Love, dad and the rest of the Kramer Family!

Hi Mari , Halfway through already, is it flying by too fast?. Through these posts, blogs we also starting to feel connected to the communities that you have met and worked with. What a life experience you are having. Though busy (maybe exhausted?) now, there will be many questions to address later in life. We are curious to find out how we impact the community (historically and currently) and how we can help or support? Might be a lifelong question to reflect on and address, so glad that you are experiencing Nicaragua and connecting to world beyond. xo mom, d, k, m, d
