Hey everyone!
I am getting so excited for our trip! I am Erin Brandvold, one of the leaders of our delegation! I teach World History at Impact Academy in Hayward, CA. This will be my second time traveling with Global Glimpse and let me tell you…we are in for such an awesome adventure!
A little bit about me…I grew up in Utah, then went to college in Seattle, and have been living in the Bay Area for almost ten years. I love doing anything outside…especially running. I have run 14 half marathons! I am also a huge book worm and love to read. I decided to become a Global Glimpse Leader because I love traveling and feel that my life has been changed by some of the people I have met and experiences I have had while traveling, and I am so excited to be able to guide you all on one of those life-changing journeys!. GG is the best because I get to travel AND hang out with teenagers!
I am really looking forward to seeing Matagalpa, meeting new people, practicing my Spanish (which is definitely a little rusty) and working with all of you!
What are you most excited about?!
Hi,I’m Cyanna Samuel from Philadelphia Pennsylvania and I go to Bodine High School for International Affairs. I am excited but nervous to be going to Nicaragua because this is my first time going to a foreign country. I’m looking forward to meeting you guys in the near future! I hope we have the best time!
Hi Cyanna! I’m so excited to meet you!
I’ll bet you’ll love the trip, but I totally get being nervous for your first trip!
Is this anyone else’s first time to another country?
Hello, I’m Jackson Paddock. I live in San Francisco, California, and go to the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. I’m a math and science kind of person, but I also do musical theater. I have been out of the country before, but not to this part of the world. Now that the trip is less than three weeks away, I’m starting to feel more and more excited!

I forgot to mention that I love ultimate frisbee.
