Hello California Glimpsers!
My name is Michael Joseph and I will be joining you this summer as the Captain Ambassador for Bonao City. I was originally born in Chicago, IL , and joined Global Glimpse as an Ambassador in 2015. This will be my third year in the program, now as a Captain Ambassador leading a group of local ambassadors here in Bonao.
The ambassadors are youths who know our city and the Dominican culture. We have a great team of young Dominicans who are anxiously waiting for your arrival and super excited to be have an amazing experience with you all. They are very excited to show you their city and teach you a lot of things about their culture including dancing and the food. Throughout your stay in Bonao, we are going to be working along with your trip leaders and the Program Coordinators here in the Dominican Republic. We have been meeting and preparing for your arrival in the last few months in order to make your experience in Bonao unforgettable. With fundraising activities, we will be able to join you in many of the activities throughout your visit. I know that in the first interaction we may be a little bit shy but that will soon disappear and long lasting relationships will be created. Remember that the ambassadors are your best friend’s in-country!
