Today was Adventure Fun Day! We started off bright and early today at 6am, preparing for our big day at Los Saltos de Damajagua. After eating a hearty breakfast we got on our magic school bus to the park. On the bus ride we got to learn more about each other with quirky questions provided by the leaders of the day. After two hours we finally arrive at our destination. Upon our arrival, we suited up in helmets and lifejackets because safety is number one!

We then took a long hike to the top of the mountain where we met our destiny: the natural slides and jumps that would take us back down the mountain. We slid numerous times downstream into beautiful clear water. We even got to jump off a high ledge into the water. Many students that are afraid of heights ended up being some of the first students to jump in and conquer their fears with support from the group!

After we made it down we enjoyed ourselves at an all you can eat buffet. We had rice, beans, grilled chicken, hotdogs, and much more! We engaged in wonderful conversations with each other over our delicious food. Next, we got some goodies from a gift shop and some of us even got fresh coconuts.

Afterwards we took a long bus ride back home where most of us got to take a nap after our exhilarating day. We arrived home and prepared for our first English tutoring session. After two hours of tutoring and building up our relationship with our students it finally came to an end and we gathered for dinner where our lovely cook Licelot presented us with potatoes, fried cheese, and delicious fresh fruit. Afterwards we ended the day with our nightly meeting.
