Hi guys, today we had two wonderful activities that we wish to share with you. The leaders started the day with a run at 6:20 a.m. with Jacob, Christa, and Loretta. At 7:00 a.m. we did wake up calls and everyone prepared their laundry for cleaning. By 8:00 a.m. everyone ready so we ate breakfast. We had toasted bread, guava jam, and a huge chunk of watermelon, that was followed by mental warm up at 8:40 a.m. Then we left on our quest to El Basurero (Garbage Dump). It was a truly eye-opening experience that was caused many to have the urge to change their lifestyle and their mind set. Then we met the Speaker of the Day Doña Francisca and her amazing family and community.

After lunch we had a consecutive field trip which lead us to a organization, Proyecto Miriam, which pushes for change in their community, specifically the women and children. This feminist group shared with us answers to our numerous questions and blessed us with a plausible community action project. We then headed back to base camp and had a wonderful dinner. We had a extravagant dinner consisting of chicken and rice. We ended the day with our first English tutoring classes which was hectic yet fun. Finally we finished off the day with an long and informational nightly meeting.
