The end of our first day has finally arrived. Students began to know each other as soon as they passed security in SFO! As we waited for our flight, Glimpsers began playing cards and listening to music in groups. During our flight to Panamá, some Glimpsers slept and others decided save their sleep for their second flight. We arrived to Santiago at 3:00 and were greeted by our program coordinators. As we began out journey to Constanza, our guagua (bus) got a flat tire! However, that flat tire didn’t stop the fun! While our driver John Carlos fixed the tire, the delegation didn’t waste time and continued to get to know each other. When we got to our hotel Vista del Valle, we were kindly greeted by the family who owns it. For dinner we had delicious fried plantain, chicken, and fruit. We look forward to getting to know more about this beautiful city tomorrow!

Miss u bunches! I hope you’re liking your delegation members so far! Also hello Erl and Maryfrances! There’s someone else from Pitt there too but i can’t remember i’m sorry! just know Stay safe n hydrated!
Looking forward to reading and learning from afar. Glad everyone made it safely and suspect all gave a sigh of relief when you made it to your destination. Was great to get the quick phone call and am imaging how beautiful the country is.
Oh forgot, DUBS won! 129 – 120
Dear Erl,
How are you anak? We all hope you are doing well. Well we don’t really have anything else to say. Just take care, we love you. Have fun, we will see you soon. The warriors won by the way. GO WARRIORS. Love, the whole family.
Greetings to all you Glimpsers,
Good to hear that you are all beginning to make friends. That was quite the journey you had yesterday, flat tire and all. But it sounds like you made the best of it. Just wanted to let those of you who have been following the basketball NBA finals that Golden State won the finals last night against the Cavs- score 129 to 120. Amazing last game. Very close but the Warriors did it. Kevin Durant won Most Valuable Player of the finals. We are missing you all but praying that you will all have a wonderful adventure.
Hi Mary, it was nice to hear your voice when you called. I went by the house- no construction going on so I’m drawing up a new floor plan before they start. Glad you were cool with the flat tire. It can only get better from here on out!
Take care, keep hydrated and swat mosquitoes! Love you,

When I went to Nicaragua, I was the biggest cry baby ever but just remember you are not alone out there, your peers are going to become like your family!!!
