Hola Amigos y Familias!!
Our group from Chicago, as well as our students from Boston and New York, have officially arrived in Managua, Nicaragua after hours of travel!
The Esteli 1 Program Coordinators, Christa and Belkis, met our New York and Boston students earlier this evening, and the Chicago students and Global Glimpse Leaders made it later tonight after their flight delay.
We are all tired, but are enjoying getting to know one-another. All of this commotion has taught us a lot about flexibility… we met new friends, traveled to a completely new country, and will try our first Nicaraguan cuisine tomorrow morning at breakfast! We are all very proud of how positive each and every one of us remains, despite longer flight schedule than anticipated.
Tonight, we are staying at a hotel in Managua and tomorrow morning after breakfast we’ll drive to our home for the next two weeks, Esteli! You will hear from your students in the morning, and we can’t wait to introduce them to the city and country we hold so dear!
The student Leader of the Day (LDD) will be posting on this blog regularly to keep all our loved ones up to date with our adventures!
