Hey, my name is Clytie Robinson. I’m 17 years old and from Boston, Massachusetts. Today was our last full day in Esteli. We woke up at 7:00 and around 7:35 we headed to Alfrieditos for breakfast. Soon after we headed back to the hostal to begin our finial refection. We discussed our CAP project, reflected on what happened on our trip, shared our 5 memorable moments in Esteli and gave big love to each other. Mina even sang a song for us. She sang a song called “Road to Nowhere” by the Talking Heads. Mina says that the beginning of the song represents us, our age and the journey that we are going on. Many of us cried due to the fact that we are leaving tomorrow. We all grown so close and its sad to say that our trip is coming to an end. Of all the things people reflected on, one thing a lot took away from this trip was on poverty day, when we all helped Dona Francisca collect bottles. After an hour of working we all found out that we barley made 5 Cordobas . This moment impacted us because Dona Francisca works in the dump 8 hours each day and the fact that we made less than 5 Cordoba  in an hour shows that she doesn’t make much money. Its really sad to know that people really live on a barely $1 or less a day.

We spent the rest of the day having free time. Even though it rained many of us spent our free time shopping for souvenirs for our families, getting smoothies and calling home. We all had fun shopping because we got to experience our last day together roaming the streets of Esteli. I had an awesome time walking around Esteli. The city is beautiful and exploring it with Lorena, Ray, Abdul, Olivia and Josh made it the best day in Esteli. The night got even better when we went to dinner: we finally ate at a new place, and it was delicious. That was my favorite meal from this whole trip. This day had been very emotional and we will miss each other. One thing that everyone is going to miss is the bonds that we created with everyone. We made each other laugh, took care of each other when we felt sick and was always there for each other. We are an E1B Family!
