Today was free day #2. We woke up at 8 am with a good wakeup call followed by an amazing breakfast that consisted of cereal and milk. We then got to explore the city of Constanza on our own. Our first stop was the supermarket, so that we could stock up on our snacks. We then went to the souvenir shop to get gifts for our friends and family back home. Next, we came back to Dilenia’s to have a delicious lunch of rice, curry fish, cheesy potatoes and Dilenia’s famous fresh salad with dressing. Then, after lunch we left for our second round of free time. We split-up into different groups and went to places that we wanted to explore and some people stayed to have a braiding session back at the hotel.

During the free time leaders of each community action project went to the hardware store to purchase equipment for tomorrow’s CAP project. Although it took 2hrs to finally gather all the equipment for the project we were glad to feel prepared to start our project with all our materials tomorrow. Sadly today we headed to our last day of English tutoring. This day was filled with many emotions, today we worked on our last lesson before graduation and worked on our talent show. Which we are very excited for on Monday!

After tutoring we returned back to Dilenia’s for a Dominican Republic dish called Torta Espanola which is the equivalent of an American quiche. It consisted of tasty potatoes, fresh veggies, and eggs with a side of a cold refreshing ice tea. We ended our night with our usual nightly meeting looking back at the long day of fun activities that we did and reflecting on today’s question of the day, “How can we take advantage of our free time and accomplish responsibilities?” Today we learned that time management is essential to making sure you understand the difference between your needs and your wants.
