FUN DAY!

HEY FROM JORDAN AND ANA!!

We have officially made it to a little over halfway through our trip! Today was a FUN DAY! We woke up in a beautiful villa in Juan Dolio and we had a wide variety of food for breakfast. Then we headed out to the beautiful Caribbean beach. On our walk to the beach, we saw white and orange crabs. As we approached the beach we walked through a beautiful tunnel with a worth waiting for sight at the end.

We settled by the shade under two coconut trees. Venders approached us with much anticipation to sell. Many of us bought bracelets, necklaces, and even scarves! The water was so clear that you could see your legs through the water. It was a nice warm water so everyone was enjoying the tides. We kept finding so many interesting rocks and shells everywhere! However, not everyone was playing in the water. The ones who were on the sand were digging sand holes and enjoying a nice tan!

We headed back to the villa and ate lunch. For lunch, we had rice, chicken, veggies, beans, fruits, and plantains. After lunch, we all packed up and took a FOUR-HOUR drive back to Constanza, where we listened to our own curated playlist or even took some naps. We also had beautiful sites on our ride back, seeing beautiful houses, trees, plantation fields, and even mountains as we were on them. We also had our ears popping like crazy.

After our FOUR-HOUR drive, we made it back to Constanza. We arrived back at 6:00 pm and everyone got to get dressed up for our CAP panel. We set up the chairs in rows as we awaited for Bernando and his son so that we could introduce our plan. As we presented our plan we had three different teams present their parts for CAP. After this, we asked Bernando for approval and that is exactly what he gave us. Then for dinner tonight we had chicken soup and white rice, which was served in really cute bowls. Lastly, we concluded the night with our nightly meeting and passing the torch to our new leaders!
