Qué tal Señores y Señoras!

I want to begin by saying how excited I am to meet all of you in person and embark upon what is guaranteed to be an astoundingly enjoyable and horizon-widening adventure together! I’ve been dying to visit and get to know Nicaragua for some time now and its a privilege that my introduction will be through this amazing opportunity that Global Glimpse has created for all of us to do so. I’ve had the pleasure of speaking to a few of you and your parents over the phone, and the excitement and anticipation you all have communicated is sure to be fulfilled by the abounding activities that are coming.

After speaking with a few of you about how you were preparing for the trip, a few strategies emerged. There are a few of you who are reading up on or watching doc’s about Nica, it’s history, culture, and general dynamic. And there are a few of you who are readying to be surprised by that which comes. I love both strategies! And as a veteran adventurer and traveler I’ve lived both too. I am currently reading up a bit more than usual, however, since at my current stage of life I’m fascinated with Central America and the Spanish language. Geographically Nicaragua is a phenomenal place of volcanoes, sloping jungles, and a Pacific coast that surfers dream of! Historically its a colorful and dramatic story that reads painful and inspirational as well if you dig deep enough. Which ever way you choose for Prep, I hope all of you are focusing on practicing an ‘open mindset’ for we’ll encounter there! So stoked!

Last year I had the pleasure of taking a surf trip through Guatemala and El Salvador about this time, and they were HOT HOT HOT! And so if there is one thing I’m hoping all of us will remember it’s: Keep it cool and hydrate every chance you get! 😉

Hopefully I’ll be able to check in with you all one last time before we meet NEXT WEDNESDAY NIGHT! ONE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!

All the Best,

Charlie
