Hi! My name is Ananya Krishnaswamy. I live in Fremont and I go to Irvington High School.  One thing I love to do is dance. I’ve been trained mostly in Indian classical dance, Bollywood, and Indian folk dance. However, in the past few years I have been exploring other dance styles. I now do anything from Tahitian to Hip Hop to Contemporary to Mambo. Anureet and I are actually co-captains of our school’s Bhangra team. We do a type of Indian folk dance from North India. If I were an animal I would probably be a rabbit because I’m always jumping around and I’m pretty energetic. The most exciting things about going to Nicaragua for me are being able to apply the things I learned in Spanish and being able to push myself to step out of my comfort zone. I look forward to meeting everyone!

Attached is a picture of me backstage at a performance, because those are the only types of pictures I seem to have.
