Hello GG families!

It has been quite a long and exciting day for us! By this point, the Glimpsers have made their phone calls back home and are now getting a full night’s rest to prepare for a packed and amazing schedule tomorrow to learn more about Leon and Nicaragua’s history!

Our flights went smoothly, although we were slightly delayed at SFO, we made it just in time before our plane left for El Salvador. Once we have landed in Managua, we were greeted by the friendly smiles of our Program Coordinators (Camila and Carrie) and the rest of GG staff. We all immediately felt the humidity but were quite surprised that it was not as hot as we expected. We took a two hour bus ride to Leon and all of us knocked out at one point (pic to be posted soon).  In Leon, we have been met with such kindness and warmth welcome by the hostel staff. Despite how exhausting the trip is, we can’t wait to start exploring Leon tomorrow.

We are looking forward to sharing more with you and reading your comments below!

Big love,
Anette and Silvia
