Greetings from Granada, Nicaragua!
We made it to Managua this morning and were warmly welcomed by our two fantastic Program Coordinators (PCs), Athalia and Noelia. We journeyed an hour by bus to Granada and settled into our hostel. We have the accommodations all to ourselves and our rooms are spread out upstairs and downstairs amongst tropical vegetation. After settling in we had our welcome seminar and some free time. Glimpsers partook in an intense game of mafia while the adult leadership team met. We ate delicious taquitos at our main restaurant, La Favorita. Afterwards we were led into the back room where a surprise birthday party was waiting for Adrian and everyone. Happy Birthday Adrian! The owner of La Favorita, Don Carlos, and his family went all out with decorations and party food. We ate cake and danced to some American and Spanish songs. We capped off the night out with the fast version of El Caballo Dorado. Upon returning to our hostel we held our nightly meeting which included going over the schedule for tomorrow – History/City Tour Day!

I am so glad you all have settled in to your accommodations. Sounds like you had a wonderful day, The pictures show you all had a great time at the party! I bet you are all exhausted.
