Good evening Guardians, Families, and Friends. It’s Day 8 in the lovely and colorful Granada, Nicaragua. 🙂 Today was a truly excellent day. It was our first free day . Yay! I speak for all fellow Glimpsers when I say, this has been one of the must relieving and relaxing day we’ve had since arriving in Nicaragua. We all started off our day with a later wake up than usual, followed by delicious breakfast by our food provider, Don Carlos. We embarked on our own journeys through the city. While some of us went to the internet cafe to call our families, others relaxed at the spa. After lunch a large number of us went on an incredible boat tour around the 365 islands. This tour included an up close view of breathtaking private islands off the coast of the city, as well as an island that is  inhabited by only monkeys. After that a few of us went to the Nicaraguan equivalent to KFC, “Tip Top.” After a long yet fun day of exploration we all returned to Casa de roja for another delicious meal as well as our regular nightly meeting. Towards the end of the night we had our first ever “GG Unplugged”, where various students expressed themselves verbally and through dance. We had this event in our living room, I also participated in the jam session.  Today was a  perfect and much needed day. It’s late and us Glimpsers have a long and fun day planned out for us tomorrow. While today was filled with fun, we all as a group continue to discuss our purpose that brought us to Nicaragua. So here is a quote from yours truly, “The weekends are lit, but Monday morning we back to work!” -N.N

From the performers of Granada, goodnight!
