A risky yet adventurous day at Parque Nacional Valle Nuevo. Today was filled with crazy adventures that we would’ve never experienced in Chicago. Our day started with a bumpy ride up the mountains to get to Aguas Blancas, which is the name of the waterfall we visited. The view from the top of the waterfall was amazing.

The trail up to the waterfall was very narrow, so we were lucky we didn’t fall. When we got to the bottom of the waterfall, we took a dip into the ICE-COLD FREEZING water.

After, we took a trip to Divino Nino, a religious monument where locals and tourist visit to pray and seek help. Divino Nino provides a breathtaking view down into the valley below, where the city of Constanza lies surrounded by mountains.

We also learned the history behind the monument from the creator himself, Antonio Camilo. Mr. Camilo created this monument after he had a vision of his deceased mother telling him to believe in the Divine Child. With the belief of the Divine Child, he battled and conquered colon cancer twice.

Later, we had English Tutoring, where we were getting our students prepared for their talent show for graduation. Overall, the day lived up to its namesake, Adventure & Fun Day. We enjoyed ourselves very much and the spectacular views.
