Hello everyone, this is Morgan Barreras and Bailey Merryman. Today, we were LDDs for our beach day. Thankfully everyone (excluding Kim) was able to come on this adventure to El Quemaito Beach with us today and experience the extremely salty ocean water. We had breakfast on the bus accompanied by some music that had us all singing and dancing. Shout out to Christian, our bus driver, for putting up with all our shenanigans. I (Morgan) can honestly say the ocean water was warmer than our shower water, which is not saying much. Regardless, the water was refreshing and gave us temporary relief from the Dominican heat. We were able to speak to Cesar and Maria who have been working with Larimar, a turquoise colored stone that is native to the Dominican Republic, for over fifteen years. Most of us purchased jewelry for our family and friends so anticipate the greatness and authenticity of the beautiful stone. We also took lots of photos to show you all when we arrive back home. We then reluctantly left the beach to go to English tutoring but we were all excited to see our students once again for their second to last class before graduation on Monday. All in all, it was a relaxing day filled with lots of fun and memories that we will never forget. Thank you for reading and giving us this amazing opportunity.
-Morgan and Bailey

P.S.
– Barreras parents, answer your phone! Love, Morgan.
-Dad, don’t forget to please wash my sheets. Mom, get ready for some bomb coffee. Love, Bailey.
