It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood today, not too hot or too cold. It was just right. We started the day off with ham, eggs, and toast with Jamaica juice… extremely delicious. Afterwards we had a very deep conversation about Aid and Development, many of the Glimpsers made absolutely fantastic points. Also, today was the first part of the Community Action Project. The Glimpsers went to Sor Maria, one of the schools here in Matagalpa, which was amazing. We interacted with the students who were in grades 1st through 4th, many of the younger students and the Glimpsers were overjoyed the entire time. It was hard, as the Leader of the day, to make the other Glimpsers get on the bus and say their goodbyes to the students. After our long goodbyes we went to the Hope Project Office and had Norman, one of the founders of the Hope Project Office, talk to us about many projects they have done in the past and present. Big love to Lesley for translating Norman’s speech. Norman was a very inspiring person, he has faced many challenges like blackmail and dependency from families and is still determined to help children, give them hope and happiness. Our Community Action Project is apart of the Hope Project Office. We just want to give happiness. After a long day we had lunch, which was rice chicken and bread. Then we started talking about the English classes all of us will be teaching, can’t wait it sounds exciting. Today was an early dinner and fantabulous nachos were served to all the students. Lastly, the usual nightly meetings took place, lots of positive criticism, love, and jokes were told. Also, I passed down my awesomeness and the torch to the Supreme Leader, Alex.
