Today we went to a local community, El Chorro, where an organization called Asodecho operates. We spoke with the president of Asodecho, we talked about how he initiates changes, overcomes challenges, and continues to better his community.
Today was the first day of our Community Action Project (CAP). We went to Rio Grande, a small community that has been forgotten by authorities, leading the locals to take matters into their own hands and solve problems by themselves. We interviewed community leaders and found out what they need most. These interviews got us thinking about what our CAP is going to be. Then Mecho, the main community leader, showed us what they have and are working on improving.
Back at the hotel, we started playing charades with the children from the family that owns the hotel, and this morphed into having a K-pop dance party.
mouli is hard at work woooo!
Sounds like a really engaging and productive day, and it’s so much fun to hear about the charades/k-pop dance party. Thank you for posting all these details!
Looks like a fun day!
It is amazing how you guys can bring hope to those who need it. Not only to the community you also show this group of kids how important is to identify others necessities and action to help!! Great job !
