Hello from the other side 🙂
My name is Tala Harris and I’m from Boston, Massachusetts. Today was the final reflection day. After breakfast it was free time for 2.5 hours. I went to the supermarket, bakery, internet cafe, central park, coffee and cocktails with 5 fellow glimpsers. The streets were less busy today because it was a Sunday. At 12pm we ate lunch at Buffet Esteli as usual. Today’s meal was a blessing because we had fried chicken. I am a chicken fanatic. My love for chicken goes beyond the galaxy.Then we headed back home to finish up our appreciation letters. At 2 p.m. we began to debriefed the trip and shared our final thoughts. Everyone enjoyed themselves over the last 2.5 weeks. For me, I appreciated the “Big Loves” because they were genuine. I had enjoyed the affirmation circle because you don’t always have to know who is saying the positive compliments but to know they are being said.
With it being our last dinner in Esteli we decided to get Pizza Hut again. The Pizza Hut here is 10,000 times better than the one’s in America. So that was clutch. After the amazing pizza, we finished our nightly meeting. This was officially our last nightly meeting and everyone participated. We gave our fallas and tuanis (thorns and roses), barely anyone had fallas. I will miss everyone and remember all the moments we shared.
