Our day started off early with a four hour drive to Juan Dolio. We arrived at the house (villa), only to be met with the suffocating humidity of the coast. Luckily after eating lunch we were able to cool off in the pool for a few hours before the day took a sudden turn.

Later in the afternoon, we made the short 15 minute walk to the beach. Sadly, our stay was cut short due to the declining weather and incoming storm. Despite having to hurry home in the pouring rain and thunder, our fun day was not over yet. In the driveway of our grand house, we made the most of the gloomy weather by playing many different games including Limbo and Down by the Bank. After running around and kicking the rain, we realized there was no water in the house to shower, so some of us decided to stay warm by taking a quick dip in the pool which actually turned into an afternoon of pool time in the rain.

Once the water was finally fixed and we were able to shower, we all came in and took turns taking showers in the 16-person bedroom. Then we helped ourselves to our very own Taco Thursday. Afterwards, we had our nightly meeting and enjoyed the rest of the night playing Uno, Dominoes and enjoying each other’s company.

Our chant for the day makes us so happy!:

BEACH DAY! BEACH DAY! BEACH DAY! BEACH DAY! BEACH DAY! BEACH DAY! BEACH DAY! 😊☂️
