Hola desde Constanza from Germary and Marisol! Being Leaders of the Day, we started off by waking up super early to start the day for the rest of C1C. For breakfast, we had sandwiches with optional lemonade or oatmeal with lime. After we finished our breakfast, we headed over to the community of Cañada de Las Palmas. When we got off the bus, it started to rain. However, that did not stop us; we waited for the rain to slow down and we started to work. We first started to mix cement while others in the community came to help, elders and young kids included. After a couple of hours of working, we headed back towards Hotel Dilenia for lunch, which was meatballs, rice with beans, and a macaroni salad. Then, we headed back to begin work from where we left off, moving cement blocks and making cement to build the foundation of the community center, all while we kept ourselves hydrated, sprayed ourselves constantly with bug spray and sunscreen to keep bugs away and not get sunburned. Then, we finished for the day and headed to the hotel. Once we all got there, we gathered together to write thank you letters for Global Glimpse supporters, then had some free time to shower before our dinner. Dinner was mashed potatoes and seasoned cheese, and our food waste was minimal. Today we learned the meaning of working together and supporting each other while working on the project. At the nightly meeting, we then passed the torch to Liana and Shandra and got to see their cool talents, which were dancing and sign language.

From Marisol, To my family, Hiii I miss you guys so much, can’t wait to see you and I want to let you know that I am learning so much and having fun love you all and see you soon!!!
