Today we started off by waking everyone up with the national anthem. We had a nice “American breakfast” to make us feel at home. We presented our project to the teachers of German Abdo Touma School. It was very heartfelt to see the teachers’ expressions and gratitude toward us.

We then took a two-hour ride to the Chimborazo Volcano, such a beautiful view seeing all the alpacas, llamas, and vicunas.

We went up 16,000 ft, took a tour viewing the volcano, seeing the memorials, and the safe houses too. We collected some volcanic rocks while hiking up to the memorial area.

Then we came back to the hotel, had a delicious lunch, and started to pack our bags for the next day. We did a final draft of appreciation letters to the Global Glimpse sponsors who supported us to get here to Ecuador. We had a beautiful Fourth of July meal, thanks to the leaders, we ate delicious ribs, fries, ice cream, and store-bought soda. Thanks to one of our friends Alfred, he gladly bought cake for all of us and we all sang happy birthday to Gina and Virgil whose birthdays are after we get to go home.

HBD Gina and Virgil!

Lastly, we are now ending our last bond time by hosting a karaoke night to end the trip.

Our last unity clap!
