Okay.

Today was the final day of our Community Action Project at the School of Santa Rosa.

We started the day off with a delicious breakfast and quickly headed over to the school. As we arrived, the kids were on a break and we immediately started playing with them. Despite it being a very hot day, everyone was excited to play with the kids, as it was our last day at school.

As soon as the kids went back to their classes, we began our work. We had three different groups today: one group worked on finishing the garden, another doing the final coat of paint on the walls, and the third was painting a section of the floor inside of the school.

Before lunch, a member of the community, Ephrain, who helped us with our work, said some heartfelt parting words about how he was very grateful to have us at the school.

Along with our lunch, we were surprised with copo, a traditional Costa Rican dessert that consisted of crushed ice, powdered milk, colita-flavored syrup, and condensed milk. It was a very refreshing treat! 🙂

After lunch, we said our final goodbyes to the students and faculty of the School of Santa Rosa, and made a stop at the mini-market on our way back to the base house.

Back at home, we all participated in a self-reflection regarding our experiences, and the impact we made during our Community Action Project. We then had free time, many enjoyed playing in the swimming pool as well as taking a nap or reading.

Soon enough it was 6:00 pm, and we all gathered for dinner, AND THEN THE WORLD ENDED AND THE WOLVES ATE OUR DISMEMBERED BODIES WHILE BATHING UNDER THE BLOOD RED MOON.

In the alternate universe when that did not happen, we had our nightly meeting. We all exchanged heart-warming words with each other and felt a sense of accomplishment in wrapping up our CAP (Community Action Project).

We are now off to host a game of Werewolf.

Thank you and goodnight!
