Querido Las Familias del Global Glimpse (Dear Parents of the global glimpsers),

My name is Synthea Davis and I’ve chosen to write our first official reflection blog! Today, we arrived in Constanza (thank you to our dear bus driver, Wilson). Immediately, I feel extremely welcomed by everyone despite the fact I am the only Glimpsers of this delegation from John Swett High School (Crockett, California) We had an amazing lunch after being introduced to the family who is providing this amazing hostel/hotel. Thankfully, Shivali and Grace brought stacks of playing cards that gave us the opportunity to bond at our meal table. We walked around the city of Constanza and were taught a little, here and there, about the city’s history. We stopped at the fire station and the main plaza; we met the Fire Chief and other firefighters and a Japanese-Dominican! We met the Glimpsers from Constanza today, as well, and they brought us friendship bracelets! It was amazing to see the expressions on their faces and their ambitions to talk and interact with us. Truly, today was an amazing day and I cannot wait to grow with my delegation and learn more about everyone. I can’t wait for everyone to get home in a few weeks and tell you more about everything; unfortunately, I am extremely tired, so, ¡Buenos Noches! Good Night!

Besos y abrazos/hugs and kisses,

Synthea Davis
