Our group today started Cap Day 1, because of this we learn communication, sportsmanship, and how to collaborate with our team. When working throughout the day, the kids of the community joined our group to help and gave us the motivation to work harder, and remind us of our purpose in their community. They also helped us so much because we unexpectedly encountered many roots when digging which gave us a hard time but united the group. Seeing the group work hard and stay motivated showed us how resilient and strong we are together and individually. However, the local children were the most memorable part of the day because of the support they gave to the group and their kindness towards us. Being Lider Del Dia was a challenging experience, but with the motivation of our peers and our GGLs, we demonstrated how being leader of the day is not only about organizing a group but having an impact on others and what it’s like to take initiative.
