Hello parents and siblings,

Today, we – Alissa Cruz and Meztli Ibanez – were Leaders of the Day for CAP day 3, the last day of our project. We started the day early by waking up at 6:30 and getting ready, we woke our peers up at 7:00 and then were on our way to discuss the mental warmup we had planned. Soon after that, we had breakfast and that food was bussin for real! We got started with the warmup and then after that we were on our way to our last day of painting, it was pretty eventful because we had a lot more rooms to paint than we thought. But no mountain is too big for us to climb so we pulled all our energy together and got a lot of work done, non stop painting and cleaning was taking place. We had lunch and then went right back to work. We were all pretty exhausted by the end and we even ran out of paint. I was climbing walls just to make sure that everything was perfect. We fully completed the project today and the teachers and students were very grateful for our hard work. We then got back on base and had free time to rest and chill until dinner time at 6 pm. We ate white rice with potato soup and frijoles while eating our dinner we watched a documentary about conservation. Soon after we had our nightly meeting and passed it on to the new Leaders of the Day! 🙂
