Hello to our loved ones at home!

Today, we woke up to the sound of pots and pans at 7:30. At 8:30, we had gallo pinto (rice and beans) with eggs, fruit, and bread. Then at 9:30, we got on the bus and headed to Aquiares coffee plantation. There, we learned how coffee is made and even got to try coffee beans straight from the plant! At 11:30, we came back to the base house for lunch. We ate Fajitas with mashed potatoes, and plantains with cheese. Then, at 1:30 we left the base house again for our cheese tour. There, we learned how to milk cows and make sustainable cheese along with some fun activities to assure we were taking in new knowledge. At 5, we concluded our cheese tour and went back to the base house for dinner. Everyone was pumped for NACHO NIGHT!!! We got to choose our own toppings and we got to choose between sour guava and starfruit juice. At 7:00, we had our nightly meeting recapping the day and passing the torch to the leader’s of the day for tomorrow!
