I didn’t plan on going back to bed in Ecuador tonight…

Earlier in the day, we had woken up at 7:00 A.M. and got ready to leave Ecuador.  We headed to breakfast and we had granola with fruit. After breakfast, we headed to the Riobamba Airport where we waited almost 4 hours for the plane to arrive. Update: it never did. It was the longest 4 hours of our lives. Some of us played uno multiple times, did magic tricks and took naps to pass the time. After a while, we finally got an update on why it was taking the plane so long to arrive, and we were told that because of the weather, the plane that had come to pick us up had to return back to Quito. Most of us were disappointed because we had plans to see our family. We walked to get our luggage back and it was the worst feeling ever. Then, our bestie Don Fernando came to the rescue. He brought us back to La Primavera, and we got our luggage and headed to our rooms upset. We had dinner around 6 and they made us burgers with fries to make us feel better! Finally, we had a movie night with popcorn and watched Knives Out, thanks to Alex and Kim.

Shoutout to my family, especially Rex. I miss you guys so much and can’t wait to see you guys! Love you guys! – Ally

Shoutout to Nacho and Paco for taking care of us despite the circumstances.  Shoutout to Alex for staying with us for the rest of the day to entertain and distract us.  Additionally, shoutout to Don Fernando and La Primavera for being flexible with our surprise return.

Our next Leader of the Day will be our Global Glimpse Leader, Hannah Gradowski, until we return back to America.  Please be on the lookout for her updates on our extended trip in Ecuador!

WE WILL SEE YOU ON SUNDAY!

Big Love,
