My peers and I learned about the positive and negative affects of NGOs and non-profit organizations. I think developing a project for NicaPhoto (a not profit organization) is beneficial for the students. I was most surprised when I saw the small size of the school and the lack of supplies the children have, such as books. I was most proud of how my peers and I worked together to develop a project to benefit Nica students. I think the most inspiring person I met today was Ronnie, the founder of NicaPhoto. She is helping students get the education they deserve and trying to help students in the future. It was really fun being the leader of the day because I learned that I can be loud and that I am not afraid to take action.
