Today we were able to bond with each other as a team and spent our day more to ourselves. The day started off more relaxed, waking up at 8:00 AM. In our first free time we decided where to travel in the city based upon eveyone’s opinions. Everyone cooperated as a team in putting together what we wanted to do and as a leader, I didn’t have any troubles in getting everyone’s input. First, we went to the art store in front of Casa de Cultura and we were able to buy souvenirs! Then, we went to go get some smoothies to cool down in the hot weather. During our second free time, we split into two different groups and adventured around to the interent cafe, coffee shop, supermarket, and other souvenir stores. Everyone who was able to contact their friends and families in the internet cafe told me that their conversations had helped them overcome their homesickness. After, all of us got together and played bonding games such as spoons and the song game. We really enjoyed our bonding time and felt as if we got to know each other much better.

As the first leader of the free day I had many choices to make and were limited to staying in larger groups (we weren’t able to split into smaller groups). I was really worried that not everyone would be satisfied with the decisions that I would make, but everyone was really helpful and they were willing to throw in their ideas. Throughout the day they were very supportive of me as leader of the day. I really appreciate all the support and I had such a great expereince being the leader of the day. I enjoyed every single moment getting to know my team in a much deeper level and I loved how everyone was able to keep such a positive attitude the whole day.

Thank you for such an amazing day and experience as a leader to everyone of you guys. I felt so loved and cared for throughout the day. I can’t even explain how much I appreciate your guys’ support. I struggled in making many decisions and you guys were able to stick through with me. My day started off amazing and ended amazing. Love you guys and I’m so looking forward to rest of my trip with my beautiful global glimpsers <3
