Howdy from Las Tablas! It’s your “El de Doritos” (Líderes Del Día), Arden, and Logan (thanks, Logan :/ ). Today’s theme was “Working Like a Local,” and we had the opportunity to visit Finca el Espinal, a goat farm. The day started at 4:45 in the morning for Logan and me, since we had to get ready and wake everyone else up. They got up at 5:15, we had breakfast at 6:00, and then we boarded the bus at 7:00 for transportation to the farm.

At the farm, we had the chance to feed baby goats, which were SO cute. Logan even bonded with a baby goat, which he lovingly named LG (Logan Junior). Mom, I think we need to convince Dad to get that goat he’s always wanted… After feeding the goats, we made more food consisting of oats, molasses, corn, and vitamins! We all got our hands dirty mixing the food, but it was really fun regardless.

Our final activity included planting “morera” trees, which are food for the goats. We then returned and had lunch at 12:30. After lunch, we had free time, during which everyone could do what they wanted. Some people took naps, while others went to the store for supplies or to McDonald’s for food. People also went to the store to get some great midnight snacks. We all came back and were ready around 4:30 to write letters of appreciation to thank the people who helped fund our trip. We then had dinner at 6:00 before getting ready for our nightly meeting. Currently, we are all bonding and listening to music. We all worked really hard today and supported each other well. The day was enjoyable not just because of the LDDs but also because of our amazing peers. Not only do we love each other, but we also love and miss all of our families.

SLEEP CAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
