Hola familias! Today we woke up at 7, to the sweet sound of army trumpets and our sergeant Spencer yelling at Kody and others. After we had breakfast at 8, which was pancakes, eggs, fruit, watermelon juice, and passion fruit juice. Then, at 8:45 we were headed out the door to Santa Rosa school in order to help out the school community. We aided in painting walls in the classrooms and outside the school. Afterward, we had arroz con pollo and black beans for lunch, and went straight back to work! It wasn’t all that bad though, we were working and we played sports occasionally whilst the paint dried. Despues, we went to the market and panadaria after we worked and had some downtime to cool off! Shortly after we had dinner, which consisted of burgers to which you could add ham and other condiments, chips, and to drink we were provided with the same drinks! We had a bit of downtime before our nightly meeting at 7 sharp. Finally, after recapping the day we passed the torch to our new Lideres del Dia (Leaders of the Day) who then concluded the nightly meeting.

Hola! I cannot believe how big the wall is that you painted – definitely quite the project! It looks like everyone is happy and truly enjoying their time together (and away from their phones).
