Day 9: Fun Day #2 (No. 3)

Hey guys!

It’s Starrli and Christine, the super cool and awesome Fun Day leaders!

Today we had a warm but relaxing day. We woke up at 6:30 am and started breakfast at 7:30. We had pancakes, fruit, toast, and some pretty darn good juice. We had a quick start to our day and headed to the beach around 8:30. The water was quite warm but not as warm as the air. Some people bought some souvenirs and some ice cream. After 2 hours of beach time, we headed back to the beach house to shower up and eat lunch. In between packing out stuff and eating we all cleaned our rooms. It may be hard to believe but yes everyone cleaned up and did their part. ?

We boarded our bus to head back to home base. It took about 4 hours but this time we had music and it was great!! When we arrived we had clean laundry waiting for us. We had some free time before our CAP (Community Action Project) meeting. We all worked together to make a plan for what tomorrow will look like. Even though we had some disagreements we made it work and came to a final decision, making sure to keep in mind that anything can change at any time.

We had a little bit more free time before dinner. We had PIZZA!!!! We were all so pumped. Once our bellies were full we had our nightly meeting where we passed the torch. To close the night we had cake and ice cream!

Backing up really quickly to last night, we had a super fun movie night watching “In the Heights.” It was a super awesome bonding moment that will live in our heads for a long time.
