WHAT’S UP Y’ALL WELCOME BACK TO YOUR DAILY GLOBAL GLIMPSE CHECK-IN!!!

It’s the day everyone has been waiting for! We took the first step to help start the Community Action Project (C.A.P.)!!

We woke up with gloomy weather but our spirits were bright! We got up at 4:50 AM to start the best wake-up call ever made!! After finishing our outstanding transformation with makeup, we saddled up and chose the song, Mi Burrito Sabanero, tukki tukki version. We galloped our way with our donkeys (pillows) and loud music to wake everyone up early at 6AM.

After that cowboy food (pancakes) we were faced with the 20-mile ankle-breaking hike (20 min walk up a steep hill), to arrive at our destination, Santa Rosa School. The Global Glimpsers with sunscreen on and water bottles filled were all set and ready for a long day of work improving the school environment.

This project gave us the opportunity to learn the importance of putting others’ needs before our own. It was an eye-opener to see how little things matter and even if it might seem little it makes a huge difference. Taking this little step by making the school more colorful, we feel that by the end of this project, the school will be transformed into an unrecognizable environment that will bring smiles to the kids’ faces. (Hopefully we finish by the end, if not we are already more than halfway).

Lizzy and Ana will be including a bunch of photos of what we did throughout the day, due to a lot of changes in the schedule

Now sadly our day is over and we must pass our cowboy journey (pass the torch) to the next Glimpsers so they too can lead the next adventure. We first needed to see if the Three Musketeers were worthy of yielding the power, which they proved they were worthy. We passed it on to Martha, Carmen, and Mikiah.

Riding our burritos off into the sunset with our hair blowing through the wind and our mustaches sharper than ever – some people could never ( just kidding)… ADIOS OOxxOOXoXXx (Nacho Libre letter)
