Today we had a great last day! We woke up at 7:30, as we needed to get our beauty rest. Yoga was held again today and it was relaxing.
We had a delicious breakfast of pancakes and scrambled eggs, made by our incredible chefs.
Then we had a fun energizer of freeze tag and after we played soccer and learned how to do an aerial. Jasmine felt vulnerable and took the risk to let Dylan coach her on successfully learning how to do an aerial, much like this trip was a unique experience for all 20 members.

Today was a day of emotions and reflections. We found out ways to keep the GG spirit alive through participating in the activity called Start, Stop, Continue, where we wrote down things we wanted to start, stop, and continue doing in the U.S. A lot of us wanted to stop taking so much for granted, start taking advantage of more opportunities and helping out in our communities, and continue caring for others and checking in on our friends.
We had plenty of fun with Dory, the dog that hung out at the house with us:
Then we had a yummy lunch, a stew of rice, chicken, vegetables, and beans (pictured below)
We also finished packing today for the flight home.
We’re sad to go, but can’t wait to see our parents again. This trip has been an amazing experience that has allowed us to make bonds with friends that we will cherish for the rest of our lives.
We reflected on this in our closing session full of gratitude and a burst of feelings. We shared our thoughts of each other and it brought us even closer.
We had our final nightly meeting to give feedback to our leaders for today and wrap up our trip. Finally, we had a scrumptious dinner of chalupas with beef or chicken, bean paste, lettuce, and tomatoes. Now we have some free time to really enjoy each other’s company and our last night together.
See you guys soon!

Last (but not least) – thank you Blair and Michael for the Epic Last Day blog.
I’m sure it was a bittersweet day for everyone.
Big love and safe travels home!
I’m sure it was an upsetting day for everyone considering it was the last day, but you all made the most of it and that’s the most important thing. Glad to see that you all are so close to one another and have built long-lasting friendships. Expecting to hear all about it Bella Truman. Everyone have a safe flight back.
