Hello! My name is Claire Krugler and I just finished my junior year at Palo Alto High School (Paly) in Palo Alto, California. I enjoy playing volleyball, hanging out with friends, chilling with my dog, and playing guitar in my free time. I am looking forward to all aspects of my trip to Matagalpa, but I am really excited to teach English to community members. I am hoping to major in either Communications and/or Education and this is a great opportunity for me to follow my passions. I also hope to improve my very choppy Spanish on this trip. I can’t wait for the many memories that I will make as well as the relationships that I will form within my Global Glimpse group and with the members in the Matagalpa community.
We love you, Claire! We hope you have a great adventure! Mom and Dad
Love, you , Claire and know your adventure will be long remembered. I’ll look forward to hearing all about it. Grandma T
Go Claire!
Thanks JKao! Super excited 🙂
Clair, Your Grandmother Taddey was persistent and I finally got all the way through the maze to read your posts.
It is amazing what you youngsters are able to experience compared with my own.
There will be much to discuss when we meet. One of my questions that is very basic concerns what it takes to see ourselves as capable of seeing solutions to problems. For a little over a week I have been working with Rutgers University people on a heat transfer project that has stumped them. It is not only poor, uneducated people who have trouble seeing and recognizing solutions.
You are in a laboratory, observing people, and probably trying to figure out if there is some way to open a window where they see how to create a fishing pole and hok and line vs the other two options; providing a fish or a fishing pole. My Mothers family had that talent, my fathers did not and I do not understand.
Looking forward to learning from you some of what you are learning.
