As the Finance and & Operations Manager, you will oversee our business operations, finance strategy, and information technology systems and work in close partnership with our Chief Operating Officer to build and manage the internal systems that will help our team grow and thrive. Ensure strong financial management to accelerate our impact:
Oversee strategic development and management of accounting and financial functions, policies and controls, and processes of the organization

  • Lead preparation of all end-of-month and year-end schedules and collaborate with the International Finance & Operations Manager to ensure timely month and year-end closings
  • Assist department leads with the planning and preparation of the annual budget and perform monthly and quarterly financial reports, trend analysis, and reforecasts
  • Maintain positive cash flow and net assets available for operations, and monitor cash reserve
  • Manage the annual financial audit/990 process with external auditor and submit required annual reports 
  • Oversee Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R) operations including invoice generation and payment processing, maintaining assets and expense schedules 
  • Reconcile monthly revenue process (cash and in-kind)  in collaboration with the Finance, Development, and U.S. Programs teams as needed
  • Support senior leadership with financial analysis and modeling as needed
  • Assist with the preparation of board materials

Improve efficiency and effectiveness:
Oversee general administration and operations responsibilities including mailing, legal registrations, office management & supplies, etc.

  • Manage risk management policies and maintain appropriate levels of insurance coverage across all lines of business in the U.S. and internationally
  • Manage city-, state-, federal-, and international-level compliance filings, including business licenses and annual registrations/renewals
  • Manage office and storage space leases, organizational assets and inventory, and office set-up, and maintenance

Manage the systems that let us do our best work:
Oversee technology systems and infrastructure development (Google Workspace/Suite, Mailchimp, Salesforce, Classy, travel management system) org-wide to ensure that all staff have the tools and resources needed to work effectively

  • Lead project management lifecycle and external vendor management for the organization’s custom traveler management platform 
  • Liaise with external IT consultant on web server needs and domain management
  • Oversee Mailchimp mailing list management and Salesforce general contact management
  • Manage cybersecurity training and onboarding to platforms for employees
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of all administrative and technology practices to assess needs, improve workflows, and manage organizational risk
  • Make recommendations on technology purchases and investments and support with product contract review and negotiations

  • A demonstrable record of success in nonprofit financial management, including the ability to produce and analyze financial information related to the operations of organizations with $5M+ operating budgets 
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or other accounting systems
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Suite/Workspace domain (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Experience with multi-state business operations and familiarity with international nonprofit organization structures preferred


You kick off a typical day by reviewing your calendar and ensuring you are prepared for internal and external meetings. You prepare the monthly financial reports and takeaways for the leadership team and our board treasurer. After that, you review the reporting requirements for our annual charitable status renewals and gather the documents to ensure compliance with our filings. You close out the day by researching new systems to upgrade our knowledge management system and creating a recommendation. Every day is different in this dynamic role. Global Glimpse provides travel, leadership, and global learning opportunities to high school students from diverse backgrounds. Our programs develop empathy, agency, and global perspective, empowering a new generation of young leaders with the skills they need to succeed in college and careers and drive change in their communities. 

We bring high school students from different racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and geographic backgrounds together through shared experience, and since 2008 we have served over 7,500 students and 550 educators across 100 US high schools and provided over $13M in scholarships.

  • Location: Global Glimpse has transitioned to a fully remote culture with staff across the country and around the world. This position is remote with travel required for US and international team retreats.

  • Compensation: $68,000-$93,000
