Hello Global Glimpsers and leaders,
My name is Shalaynes Alvarez (or Shay), a rising freshmen at Boston University. I am very happy and honored to be part of this unique experience and I can’t wait to meet all of you.
A little bit about myself: I am Dominican but was born and raised in Boston, MA. Every other summer I travel to the Dominican Republic to visit my family. I have visited China, Canada, and many states in America. I’m looking forward to adding South America to my adventures.
The reason I applied to Global Glimpse was because it gave me the opportunity to not only explore different cultures with a group but to also become more educated on a foreign place. I’m most looking forward to Community Day and getting to know all the fellow Global Glimpsers.
I am so excited to join you all in this new adventure and create new memories and stories.
