Hi Global Glimpsers!
My name is Emily Behan and I am one of the trip leaders for JA1D this July! I am so incredibly excited for this trip; my co-leader, Dangely and I met a few months ago and we both are looking forward to meeting all of our Glimpsers and learning more about one another and the beautiful Dominican Republic. I am just wrapping up my school year as a Vice Principal at Coney Island Prep High School, where I have been working for 8 years. During those 8 years, I have seen many of my students attend Global Glimpse trips and come back stating it is one of the most impactful experiences of their life. I look forward to seeing that impact up close this year.
When I am not working with the amazing high schoolers of Coney Island Prep, I am working out, reading or enjoying my Brooklyn neighborhood. While I love NYC and have lived here for 14 years, I look forward to experiencing a whole new culture in the DR.
