Hi everyone,
My name is Jerald and I’m excited to meet you all! I used to be an English teacher in Southern California but moved to the Bay Area 6 years ago. I currently I work in Cultural Affairs in higher education and am back in grad school in the city.
This is my first trip with Global Glimpse but I’ve met with many people who have been trip leaders in the past and hearing about all of their amazing stories, learning experiences, and life changing moments, I knew I wanted to be a part of that =)
I’ve traveled mostly to Asia and South America leisurely and for work but will be excited to be traveling with a group of you all to Esteli, Nicaragua! My favorite part about traveling is learning about the history and traditions of the community as it helps me build a respect for the diversity that I am exposed to. I hope you all are can come with an open mind and willingness to learn!
I’m attaching of a picture that I took on one of my recent trips. I sometimes wear glasses but for the most part will look mostly the same. I encourage all of you to introduce yourself and share a bit about who you are and what you’re excited for. You all are coming from all over the Bay Area (and Boston!) so I know we’re all excited to learn about each other!
