Hello Global Glimpsers,
My name is Ashley LeMay, and I am one of the two Bay Area Global Glimpse Leaders who will be traveling to Jarabacoa with you on June 7th. This is my first year participating in this program, and I’m so excited. I’ve traveled a lot domestically, in Europe, and a few places in Latin America. This will be my first time in the Dominican Republic though. So we will have a lot of new experiences together!
I have been teaching for three years, and I teach at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon. I teach Art 1 , Digital Photography, and have also taught Computer Graphic Arts. I love the arts and worked as a textile designer for a few years before I went back to school. I teach in San Ramon, but I live in Oakland with my fiancé and our tuxedo cat Lily. On the weeks I love to hike, go to art museums, and see live music with friends.
I am so excited for our trip and to start getting to know all of you better! Please take a moment to introduce yourselves 🙂
