Hey Hey! ☆ My name is Yazmin Muniz and I’m currently a rising senior at The Lab School of Finance and Technology. I’m Colombian and Puerto-Rican. I was born and raised in the Bronx, and I’m 16 years old!
In my spare time, I like to indulge in some reading. I love classical literature and thriller/horror literature. I also like to write short stories and poetry, ice skate, watch anime, play video games, and draw. There are an alarming amount of interests that I have (for length purposes I will not disclose more lol); In short, I just like doing everything! I usually pair some of my favorite activities with some delicious ice cream.
One very important thing you should know about me, I volunteer and work in education. I tutor students that span from elementary school to high school, and I love spreading knowledge whenever I can. It’s a very rewarding experience, and the best part is seeing my tutees grow both academically and as people with the help of a mentor. Being present for someone who needs help is so crucial and necessary, the opportunity to aid a student through the process of both struggle and growth is not simple but it’s also not impossible. Through tutoring and teaching, I’m able to make one-of-a-kind bonds that strengthen both my students and myself! With that being said, I want to spark growth in other people, and create long-lasting friendships during our trip. Can’t wait to see you guys!
