Hi GG families!
My name is Lola and I am one of your global glimpse leaders for our trip to Riobamba! I can’t wait to get to know each of you and learn alongside you while we spend time in Ecuador. I have been working with Global Glimpse for the past few years and this will be my second trip with them.
I love that GG gives students a chance to travel and learn about other cultures in ways that place emphasis on the experience of local people and their rich histories, customs, and acts of resistance against the problems they face. I really enjoy traveling in general and have been to a small handful of countries such as Brasil, Italy, Ireland, the Dominican Republic, Peru, and Mexico. The majority of my travel experiences have been in Latin American countries and I’m looking forward to learning more about Ecuador. I have been practicing my Spanish for quite a few years and will hopefully practice even more while we’re in Ecuador!
Outside of my travels, I work as the Dance Director at Kenwood Academy and also perform and choreograph throughout Chicago. I also enjoy music, art, fitness, and spending time outside with my dog Stella. The best part of what I do is witnessing folks utilize art and performance to share their experiences and tell their stories. My hope is that encountering new people, culture, and a way of life will inspire you to create something new!
Thank you so much for a great job. You’re so amazing and we’re so proud of your commitment. Go Broncos!!!
