Home Sweet Riobamba!

Hello GG Families!

After many hours of travel, we have arrived at Hotel Primavera in Riobamba! We arrived in Quito after midnight. After a quick rest and breakfast, we started our day with a long ride to our accommodations in Riobamba. The ride was incredibly scenic as we passed by mountains, volcanoes, and greenery. We were greeted with a delicious lunch from our providers here and began our seminars to learn more about what we can expect in the next couple of weeks.

In between seminars, we had the privilege of learning Ballet Folklorico de Ecuador from Jimena. She taught us several dances connected to characters that Ecuadorian tradition honors during Carnival and many other events. Her dancers came in traditional costumes and performed the steps for us to learn. All in all, we are looking forward to all that awaits us in Riobamba!

Big Love,

RB1D

Do much fun to see a place I visited during my Peace Corps in 1966. I love it that my granddaughter can experience this all these years later!
