Dear Families & Friends of the GU2A Delegation,
Due to severe weather in Houston, the group’s flight from Houston to Quito was cancelled tonight, Sunday, June 16th. It will likely be re-booked for the same time tomorrow night, Monday, June 17th. This would mean they would be on United flight 1035 leaving Houston at 6:20pm local time tomorrow evening arriving in Quito at 11:35pm tomorrow night Monday, June 17th.
The group is all staying together tonight at a hotel near the airport (IAH) in Houston. The plan is for them to sleep in, have a late breakfast, stretch their legs a little bit, do some group bonding activities, and then head to the airport tomorrow afternoon.
We are working with our partners at United to make the rest of their journey to Quito as smooth as possible.
