Today we visited Pucara Tambo Cultural and Tourist Center. It is located in Cacha, Chimborazo which is like 1 hour away from the hotel. We got the opportunity to learn about the indigenous culture of the Cacha people. We were able to see how the Cache peopled dressed and lived. We learn that people older than 50 years old still live this way but the younger generation is losing the tradition. Their culture is really beautiful and it shouldn’t be lost. Indigenous tradition should be kept alive be we can learn so much. Glimpsers learned that culture is very valuable and that we should protect our own culture.

Today we also took a dance class. The place we took our dance class was called Renovacion Folklore Dance Group. The instructor Jimena taught us traditional ecuadorian dances. There were also 8 student that she brought and they were dressed in traditional clothes. She taught us step by step and the put music and we danced. The girls wore colorful skirts in a traditional dance which was very fun. At one point we made a circle and started to dance and cheer everyone on. It will be something I will never forget because we were all so happy and dancing. We also celebrated my roommate, Ellla’s, birthday. It was pretty cool because I had to keep the secret away from her. Today was a very fun day overall.
